Z Lab / Project 01 / Open reference

ZENO.

An agent-ready reference robot designed around the shortest practical path from model output to real motion.

Purpose / 01

A body built for agents.

ZENO is the reference body in Z Lab's physical-agent stack. It provides a repeatable embodied AI platform for connecting perception, reasoning, control, and real-world feedback without rebuilding the robot interface for every experiment.

The goal is not to present a finished consumer robot. ZENO is an open reference for developers who need a physical system that can absorb new agent capabilities, expose integration problems early, and support fast iteration on real hardware.

Role in the stack / 02

Reference robot, not a closed product.

  • Agent-ready bodyA stable embodiment target for model and runtime experiments.
  • Real-robot loopsDesigned for short iteration cycles between software behavior and physical evidence.
  • Open explorationA community-facing reference that can support new tools, skills, and hardware modules.
